| A family tree for hoopers? Absolutely! What if we could trace our own personal hoop family trees? Better yet, what if we could combine them into one large database, cataloguing the spread of modern-day hooping for future generations? We can! The Hooping Family Tree Project is a global endeavor to trace the roots of modern-day hooping and chart the spread of hoopdance worldwide. YOU can help! As our database grows, the information you submit will be connected to your hooping "family," local community, and our growing global circle. We transform the who, where, and when of your "hooping genealogies" into colorful, visual representations. The Hooping Family Tree Project depends upon your donations! The HFTP is a labor of love, but one that is truly labor-intensive. It incurs web and software costs in addition to the 40+hours of volunteer data entry, updating, research, and emails to hoopers a week. Please consider donating JUST ONE DOLLAR to help us stay alive! Try it Out! Thanks to you, the growing Hooping Family Tree is massive! To begin exploring, click on any underlined name in the image below to open its branch in a new window. Use the command (Ctrl -) to zoom out and (Ctrl +) to zoom in. Don't see yourself yet? The Tree is updated every, single month with new entries and new photos. NEW! Use the "Search Tree" tool on the main menu. |
